walking up 5th in lower queen anne, a thought drop walking up 5th in lower queen anne, a thought dropped softly like a needle from an evergreen, “of all the -isms, i’m beginning to believe patriotism causes the most division.” 

a stop at the top looking upon the emerald earthscape, i inhaled impulsive action: “all the -isms are highly divisive.” 

then exhaling receptive introspection i remembered i’m a man in the 21st century, “and the most divisive,” i realized, “is sexism.” in my descent to the (city) center, rough thoughts revealed no solution crucial enough to bring universal healing, except 
to 
just 
start 
here.

sitting with existential questions and existential sitting with existential questions and existential friendships is the quintessential decision for celebrating independence in this annual situation. it’s the inside out friends that make these nights never end. it’s the playground within. the soundstage of goosebumps on skin.

food + beer + boat
everything but a 
root + beer + float

hit or miss 
kindred spirits 
splitting the difference 
between my lack
of american spirit
and facts about
it’s existence 
with a holy spirit
forming my 
human experience
inside soul creeping 
to the surface.
gotta find the 
god searching inner 
rather than the 
bombs bursting in air.
hey.
if everyone solely lived in the materialistic and if everyone solely lived in the materialistic and neglected living in any part of the spirit, then philosophy would be the cancer to friendship, when the answer should be spirit. you are tomorrow what you eat today. tomorrow i will be philosophy.

we come in peace.
it’s always worth it in the end. like the song a it’s always worth it in the end. like the song about the bear; can’t go under it, can’t go over it, can’t go around it, gotta go through it…
